You should bring a fan to hang from the top of a hot tent to blow warm air down to the floor. I have witnessed a hot tent where the top of the tent was almost 100 F and the floor of the tent was still frozen.
A fan will even out the temperatures in the tent.
Emergency Tent
An emergency tent is great to keep in your backpack or even your car. They are cheap, lightweight, and designed to keep you warm and dry in an emergency.
They are made from the same material as a space blanket.
These tents are not designed to be comfortable or for recreational use. But I was on a campout and made a friend who used one of these tents to camp in. It was his first campout in the US and he didn’t have any equipment.

Unless you are backpacking, I think the most important feature is the ability to stand up. This makes it so much easier to get dressed and move around when in the tent.
The next most important accessories are hooks or pockets so that you can hang an LED lantern or string lights to provide a cozy camping experience.
You will also enjoy having more storage pockets in your tent. My pockets are always full of gear I use for camping such as my pocket knife, a bandana, my spork, headlamp,etc that I need to store.
Not to mention our daily-life stuff such as eyeglasses, wallet, keys, and of course, our phone.
Many tents now include a port where you can push through an extension cable to plug in to shore power at an electric site. Please, don’t let purists make you feel like you are “cheating” if you use electricity in your tent at the campsite. It’s your camping trip and you should enjoy it how you see fit.
Plus there are modern life requirements such as charging our phones and running CPAP machines that require electricity.
